Standing Hamstring Curl

Bends the knee behind you to work the back of the thigh, which supports walking and stair climbing.

How to do it

  1. Stand behind a sturdy chair, holding the back with both hands.
  2. Loop the EZband around both ankles.
  3. Shift your weight to your left leg.
  4. Bend your right knee, bringing your right heel toward your buttock.
  5. Pause, then lower slowly.
  6. Do 8–10 reps, then switch legs.

Form tips

  • Keep your knees side by side — the working thigh stays pointing down.
  • Stand tall; don't lean forward.
  • Move slowly.

Using your EZband

Band around both ankles. Start with the Light band.

Beginner modifications

  • Do it with no band.
  • Lift the heel only partway.

Safety notes

  • Hold the chair with both hands throughout.
  • Stop if your hamstring cramps; rest and stretch gently.
