Standing · Shoulders
Lateral Raise
Lifts the arms out to the sides to work the shoulders, helping with everyday lifting and reaching.
How to do it
- Stand on the middle of the EZband with feet hip-width apart, holding one side in each hand at your sides.
- Keep a soft bend in your elbows.
- Raise both arms out to the sides up to shoulder height, leading with your elbows.
- Pause, then lower slowly.
- Do 8–10 reps.
Form tips
- Stop at shoulder height.
- Keep your thumbs pointing forward or slightly up.
- Don't shrug your shoulders toward your ears.
Using your EZband
Stand on the centre of the band. Use the Light band — this is a tough one with a band.
Beginner modifications
- Raise one arm at a time.
- Raise only halfway.
- Do it seated.
Safety notes
- Stop if you feel pinching at the top of the shoulder.
- Keep the movement slow — no swinging.
