Standing Bent-Over Row

Pulls both elbows back to strengthen the upper back and support better posture.

How to do it

  1. Stand on the middle of the EZband with feet hip-width apart. Hold one side of the band in each hand.
  2. Soften your knees and hinge forward from the hips a little, keeping your back long and flat.
  3. Let your arms hang toward the floor, palms facing each other.
  4. Pull both elbows back toward your ribs, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  5. Pause, then lower slowly.
  6. Do 8–10 reps.

Form tips

  • Only hinge as far as you can keep a flat back — a small lean is fine.
  • Keep your neck in line with your spine; look at the floor a few feet ahead.
  • Think “elbows to back pockets.”

Using your EZband

Stand on the centre of the band. Shorten your grip for more resistance, lengthen it for less.

Beginner modifications

  • Do it standing upright with no hinge.
  • Do it seated, with the band under both feet.

Safety notes

  • Skip the hinge if you have low-back pain; stand tall instead.
  • Make sure the band is secure under your feet before pulling.
