Band Pull-Apart
Opens the chest and works the muscles between the shoulder blades — a great antidote to rounded shoulders.
How to do it
- Stand or sit tall. Hold the EZband in front of your chest with both hands, about shoulder-width apart, palms facing down.
- Keep your arms straight but not locked.
- Pull the band apart by moving your hands out to the sides, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
- Pause when the band touches or nears your chest.
- Return slowly to the start.
- Do 10–12 reps.
Form tips
- Keep your shoulders down, away from your ears.
- Keep your ribs down — don't arch your back.
- Move slowly both ways.
Using your EZband
Hold the band with hands shoulder-width apart. Move your hands wider for less resistance.
Beginner modifications
- Do it with arms lower, at stomach height.
- Bend your elbows slightly.
- Do it seated.
Safety notes
- Stop if you feel pain in the front of the shoulder.
- Check the band for nicks or tears before use.
